About Sara

Born in Italy, a triplet, I grew up in a traditional Italian family, where both parents were real foodies. I remember fondly the seasonal outings with my dad foraging for mushrooms, wild asparagus, dandelions and radicchio; and of course the days spent in the kitchen with my mother creating beautiful food. Food has always been a part of me and MasterChef provided the platform from which to pursue my culinary dream. My ethos is simplicity, using a few but top quality ingredients to create an explosion of flavours. My passion is to share my knowledge and enable others to learn to cook! Thanks to her extensive experience, Sara works as a chef consultant in an airport enterprise. She takes on private clients on request.

Sara @ St John’s is York’s first Dining Club. Set in the heart of the city, it provides an unforgettable experience with food served in the relaxed setting of her beautiful Victorian house against the backdrop of York Minster. The venue is an experience that is as much about culinary delights as social interaction. Since its opening in July 2011, it has hosted over 12,000 happy guests. When COVID started I decided to play my part in helping the NHS and began working at a large ICU in London. That role continues part time to this day and I therefore had to reconsider how much time I could devote to a Supper Club in York. Regrettably I have had to make the very heartbreaking decision to close the Supper Club.

Family circumstances may look at recreating a similar concept on the French Riviera.

Masterchef finalist 2011 and now a well-known Chef and Food Consultant working across the country. Sara’s cooking is a celebration of both her heritage and the wonderful local produce the UK has to offer. Sara’s ethos is simplicity and a handful of ingredients and this is beautifully portrayed in her cooking style as well as in her teaching.
