About Sara

Born in Italy, Sara grew up in a traditional Italian family, where both parents were bound by a shared love of food. As Sara tells it, “I remember fondly the seasonal outings with my dad foraging for mushrooms, wild asparagus and dandelions; and of course, the days spent in the kitchen with my mother creating exquisite food.”

Cooking has always been at the heart of Sara’s life. Guided by a philosophy of simplicity and the finest ingredients, she strives to create perfect harmony in every dish. Her passion lies in crafting memorable culinary experiences that bring people together. Through her classes, Sara shares her love of food, inspiring joy and connection in every session.

Private Dining

Sara’s first venture into cooking for groups began after her success as a MasterChef finalist in 2011, in York, England. She went on to open St. John’s Supper Club, nestled in the heart of the city. More than just a culinary experience, the Club became a vibrant space for food and connection, welcoming over 12,000 diners into the relaxed elegance of her Victorian home, set against the stunning backdrop of York Minster.

Now based in Tourrettes sur Loup, in the French Riviera, Sara creates bespoke dining experiences as a private chef, crafting menus that blend creativity, seasonality, and the joy of exceptional food.

Cookery Classes

Bespoke cookery classes are available in Sara’s kitchen or your own home, focusing on Mediterranean and Modern European dishes crafted from the finest local, seasonal ingredients.

In Sara’s words: “Many of my recipes are modern interpretations of classic Italian cuisine. Living in Provence allows me to bring that same spirit to my classes — the incredible local ingredients here evoke the very best of Italy.”

Sara’s Italian heritage and lifelong passion for cooking led to her success as a MasterChef finalist in 2011. Her food was praised as “a celebration of both her Italian roots and her creative, inspired use of the UK’s finest local produce.”

Sara’s ethos is one of simplicity — transforming a handful of quality ingredients into dishes that are both elegant and full of flavour. This philosophy shines through in her cooking and in the way she teaches others.

Now based in the heart of Provence, just next door to her native Italy, Sara brings her culinary artistry to life through her private dining experience. Drawing on the abundance of local, seasonal ingredients, she creates unforgettable meals that awaken the senses and celebrate the joy of good food.

Sara shares a special connection with Marcato, the world’s leading brand in pasta-making equipment — both originate from Padova. This shared heritage allows her to proudly collaborate with Marcato, sharing her pasta-making expertise with enthusiasts around the world. Each year, Sara represents the brand at the Christmas Kitchen at Harrods, London’s most prestigious department store, celebrating the craft and tradition of authentic Italian pasta.

For more than 10 years, Sara has proudly collaborated with Garofalo, a world-renowned pasta brand established in 1789. Together, they celebrate a shared passion for excellence, bringing authentic Italian flavours to life through recipes and storytelling on social media.

For over 20 years, Sara demonstrated the versatility and potential of cooking with an AGA, proudly owning and using two traditional cookers to create exceptional dishes.
